    Classic American suspense thriller from the 1940s based around the movie industry

Storyline: Here is a thriller of a new order; as modern as a turbo-jet and moving at the same speed. It introduces again Rufus Reed, that irrepressible, red-headed reporter of the Fairmount Express who gets news for his paper even if he has to make it happen. Rufus Reed was covering a publicity stunt for the homecoming of a local boy who had made good in Hollywood. The publicity stunt was more than successful-but it wasn't the stunt that reached the headlines, and in this case, the publicity was carried too far
